Your essays should be original and interesting. After reading an essay the admission director should remember you and should be able to visualize your personality. Be sincere and honest while reflecting your qualities. Admissions directors are very experienced people and by just reading one essay they can gauge you whether you are sincere and honest or just blowing your own trumpet like thousand of other candidates.

How to select a recommender

1. Chose the people who knows you well and would be happy to help you.

2. Do not chose people with fancy titles say for example CEO, CFO, if you had a little interaction with them.

3. Chose recommender's who know you in different capacities so that they can elaborate different aspects of your personality for example it may be your sports coach or your client.

4. Chose those recommenders so that their views complement your application essays.

2. Give him a copy of your essays so that your essays and recommendation are in sync with each other.

3. Discuss how long and in what capacity recommender knows you.

4. Try to quantify the student's strengths or rank him or her visa vis other applicants that you have observed.

5. Describe the applicant's leadership ability, managerial potential, and overall skills and provide specific examples to support each statement.

6. Explain how MBA program would help him in his career and also explain how he would benefit an MBA program.vIf possible you may provide him a sample recommendation and you may edit it accordingly.

7. While mentioning weaknesses he may mention one weakness as a mild skills-based deficiency rather than a significant personality flaw.
