Critical reasoning normally ask the following.
- What strengthens or weakens the argument
- Find the underlying asumption and interference
- Find a parallel argument
- Find the conclusion.

Most Imp Tip : Based on our students experience, one should read and understand the entire argument then start reading the choices. Most of the time just by reading the first sentence you will find that answer choice is irrelevant. Sometimes you will find the that it is correct but answering the opposite part say instead of strengthening it is weakening the argument. Most of students get stuck on 1-2 questions then they should not waste time on them and move ahead especially if it is in the later part of verbal section.

One should always read all the answer choices as sometime there may be two correct answers but one of them would be better.
|
| • |
One should avoid the absolute statements containing "must", "should be" etc.
|
| • |
One should also avoid the highly charged statements as normally correct choices are moderate and their tone is neutral.

If you are not getting atleast 90 percent accuracy in critical reasoning then only way to improve is to sit with friend or teacher who scores more and see his approach or thought process.
