Goals Statement (750 word maximum) Required for Full-time, evening &Global MBA applicants):applicants with a plan for their future and with a good grasp of what is expected of them as MBA students are the most successful students in our program. We know plans change, and we know people often pursue an MBA to create new career options. please tell us about your plans. ideally your essay should answer all the following questions: Why are you pursuing an MBA degree? What do you expect to do immediately after completing the MBA program? What is your primary lifetime career goal? how do your life and work experiences to date move you closer to these personal objectives? What specific things will the MBA experience contribute to your post-MBA and lifetime career goals? What unique aspects of the University of Washington MBA program, if any, would contribute the most to achieving your goals?



  2. Full-time program Applicants: Plans for involvement 500 word maximum)::We consider a high level of involvement in student organizations, networking and career efforts o be hallmark of he university f Washington MBA experience. please describe your anticipated level f involvement as n MBA student beyond the MBA course requirements. in what specific organizations r activities ill you participate? Where do you expect to take the greatest contribution to he overall MBA experience at he university f Washington? What aspects of our past r current life provide insights into our ability and willingness to consistently deliver ore than he minimum effort required?

    Evening Program Applicants: Teamwork Experience 500 word maximum)::a large portion of the work you ill do in an MBA will be completed in student groups. briefly describe what you consider to be your most significant experience working in a group. describe the task to be completed by the group, key attributes of each member if the group that impacted the final outcome of your efforts, the biggest challenges you faced and the contributions you personally made.

    Global BA Program Applicants: Cultural Differences 500 word maximum)::pick any two countries. describe the key cultural differences between the two countries and comment in detail on how those differences would impact business practices.



  3. Choice essay: answer new if the following 500 word maximum. required or full-time, evening & global MBA applicants):

    1. Describes a situation in work environment hat either severely strained your relationship with o-workers or challenged our personal values. how did you resolve this situation?



    2. At this point n your career what do out consider your most significant professional accomplishments? how have these particular accomplishments affected the career choices you have made?



  4. Optional essay 250 word maximum optional for full-time, evening & global MBA applicants):
  5. Include any other information that you believe would be helpful to he admissions committee in considering your application. or example, applicants have explained stretch of weak grades in college, an unusual job change, travel or time off not explained in the resume, or some particularly interesting or unique characteristic or experience that hey were unable to discuss elsewhere in the application.

  Interview

Interviews are an important part of the admissions process. After a careful review of the applications, select candidates will be invited to interview. Applicants may be invited to interview at any point in the admissions process. Candidates chosen to interview will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule an interview. Interviews may take place at the UW Business School, in select other locations or by phone. If you are invited to interview, you must complete an interview to be considered for admission.
